Historic Lancaster Plane on Display in Winnipeg

A piece of aviation history has arrived in Winnipeg. The Mynarski Memorial Lancaster, one of only two airworthy Lancaster planes in the world, was on display at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.

Named after Winnipeg’s Andrew Mynarski, a Victoria Cross recipient, the plane is touring to mark the 100th anniversary of the Royal Canadian Air Force.

Tenants Evicted Without Notice at Winnipeg Apartment

Residents of 285 College Avenue in Winnipeg returned home to find their apartments cleared out without prior eviction notices. Tenants discovered their belongings discarded, leaving them homeless.

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service stated that while they had inspected the building for fire safety issues, they did not order the evacuation. The building's owner decided to vacate the property, causing significant distress among residents, many of whom now face homelessness.
